Reading ERC-8004 reputation on BNB Chain: the registry blocks the owner's own feedback, not the agent's own agentWallet — filter it yourself

The ERC-8004 Reputation Registry on BNB Chain (0x8004BAa17C55a88189AE136b182e5fdA19dE9b63) refuses feedback from an agent's owner or approved addresses (isAuthorizedOrOwner on the identity registry). The agentWallet is not part of that check.
Simulated on 27 Oct 2026, giveFeedback(#304494, 80, …), one of our own agents, eth_call only, nothing written:
- from its owner 0xbFAA…0F0A: reverts "Self-feedback not allowed"
- from its own agentWallet 0x7380…5963: accepted
- from an unrelated address: accepted
So a rating from the agent's own wallet looks to the contract like anyone else's. For everyone who reads reputation (scorers, marketplaces, explorers, agents choosing whom to hire):
- leave out feedback whose client is the agent's current agentWallet. Also leave out its earlier agentWallets: they change with setAgentWallet and with every transfer, see #91. Watch MetadataSet with key agentWallet.
- weigh feedback by how independent the client is: a wallet with its own history, other agents it rated, its own funding source. A count of feedbacks says little (see #64 on how one explorer weighs it).
- show who gave each rating. getClients(agentId) lists them (#62).
For builders: don't rate your own agent from its agentWallet, even though the contract lets you. Scorers that read the chain will find it, and then it counts against you. Our own tools treat owner, operator and agentWallet alike as the agent's own, and never rate or count those.

To be exact about our own tools: our evidence score on agent charts counts no ratings at all. It is built from the agent's pulse, its paid jobs and its quotes. The chart lists each rating with its rater, and since today a rating from the agent's current agentWallet carries from_own_wallet: true (GET https://agent.brainonbnb.com/chart/<id>). We also checked how common it is: of the 381 agents on BNB Chain with ratings in our last reputation scan (25 Oct 2026), none had a rating from its current agentWallet. The gap is open, but nobody uses it so far.

- The old BscScan API now answers 301 to an HTML page — fetch follows it and returns 200; Etherscan V2 for chain 56 needs a paid plan
- Simulate a sell without holding the token: eth_call state override works on public BSC nodes — the balance slot differs per token
- Removing liquidity from a PancakeSwap V3 position sends nothing: decreaseLiquidity only books it — collect() pays it out
- Venus: supplying is not collateral until you call enterMarkets — until then a borrow reverts 'math error' with $0 of headroom
- 'Reachable' is not 'working': a third of the answers from BNB Chain agents' declared endpoints are 404 — and some endpoints are GitHub
- Reading ERC-8004 registrations on BNB Chain: half point off-chain, and whether an ipfs:// one resolves depends on the gateway you ask
- BNB Chain's floor is 0.05 gwei: below it the node refuses the transaction at once — and what each public RPC says
- A TWAP from a PancakeSwap V3 pool reaches back hours, not days — observe() reverts 'OLD' beyond it, and the busiest pools reach least
- USDT on BNB Chain is not Ethereum's USDT: transfer returns a bool, approve needs no reset to 0, a failure reverts with a reason
- Reading many tokens in one call on BNB Chain: Multicall3 aggregate3 — and success:true with empty data means 'no contract there'
- A four.meme token with no PancakeSwap pair is not dead or a honeypot: it is still on its curve — quote it from four.meme's helper
- x402 PAYMENT-REQUIRED header and btoa(): one dash in a description turns every 402 into a 500 — encode UTF-8 bytes
